progress post #09

Here is the animation for the scene below. I have removed the object(s) on the shelf as to not give away any plot.

Up Chuk Duck (Pilot)
progress post #08

I haven't worked on my pilot in a month because of a temporary animation gig that I landed. It ends at the end of July, so I'll start work on my pilot again at the beginning of August.

Here are some storyboard to layout pics:

I may post the animation for this scene later on..

Up Chuk Duck (Pilot)
progress post #07

1) Furniture has been added - BG and FG elements.
2) The run cycle has not yet been tweeked.
3) Scene shrunken down to make for better framing.

Thanks again for all the great critiques guys!

Crsp, yours especially for the tip on framing Up Chuk differentely (since his head was getting cut off). It made a HUGE difference to shrink him down and now it seriously looks 100000% better!!

This is why all of your critiques are so important, you guys catch stuff that totally slip right by me. Now my pilot will be that much better thanks to all of you!

Up Chuk Duck (Pilot)
progress post #06

This is how Up Chuk feels about the painfully slow process of traditional animation.
Something is going down in Up Chuk's living room. He runs to investigate. The idea here is that Up Chuk is running through his house, jumping, and then sliding into his living room:
The critiques all of you gave me for this initial run cycle really helped! I wanted to thank all of you again and encourage you guys to never be shy about critiquing these animated clips.

I will continue to post this same sequence in stages of progression, until it's final finished state. That way you can sort of see my process.

PS. this is not the only work that I have done since the last run cycle post. So don't worry ;)

It's in the works..

**update**

another thing is that I am debating cleaning any of it up (so the lines will look all ugly & jagged). what ive got so far isnt cleaned up, but colored. i'll have to post some screenshots of the colored but non-cleaned up scenes & you guys can be the judge.

but then i started fucking up. angles werent right, i had to keep redrawing shit. and it was because i didnt have a storyboard or solid foundation of each scene.

This is one of the backgrounds I had to throw out because I drew it at the wrong angle.
