i sense this won't be part of the final, and just a fake plot to thrw us off, or maybe a dream sequence, hell it culd be anything, you could keep me guessing all day ryan!

As I suggested earlier, could you give us a breakdown of Up Chuk? What's his personality? Who are his friends/enimies? Where does he live? ect
IMO nice guys should never finish last, and that's exactly what he is: a nice guy.

not including the pilot, i have:
4 solid episodes (stories from beginning to end are finished for the most part)
4 not so solid episodes (multiple blank story spots)
and 5 concepts.
this isn't counting all of the other cartoon stories I have planned that don't involve Up Chuk.
thad: i think all it is is that we use a wacom & draw straight into flash. we dont scan drawings or anything like that, or make things super sharp & clean - so that maintains the organic line feel. also, we (i assume you are talking about David & I) animate frame by frame instead of using cheap flash tricks to pass as "animation."

Yes, that is exactly it. Here at AIP they teach all the cheap flash tricks. That's why there's nothing but shit out there. Aren't we supposed to be progressing, instead of getting worse results than Hanna-Barbera got in 1957?

You should post up all your upcoming cartoons in animatic form first, like Kevin Langley does, and then take your time animating them.
Kevin Langley's a dumbass who never seems to get around to animating anything. I'm sure Ryan's far more productive.
How far along into the pilot are you? I'm looking forward to it.

Kevin Langley is awesome for even wanting & attempting to do his own animation. I have seen your animation and it isn't bad at all.
I was doing fucking AWESOMELY on my pilot, animating furiously and busting entire scenes out in one day. I had finally gotten 'into the groove.'
But recently I have acquired a full-time animation job which has left me no time whatsoever for my pilot.
But do not worry.
They say the job is only temporary so I've probably got only 3 more weeks of it left. Then it's back to making history happen!
